Life Beyond Recovery: What Comes Next?
It’s been a while, and I’m so excited to reconnect with you. I’ve just returned from the most incredible, transformative month in Italy, and I’ve been reflecting deeply on growth—both in my coaching practice and personally.
I spent 15 days in retreat with the Learning Love Institute completely offline, where I welcomed every moment. (Hello, technology withdrawals!) What I learned there was that no matter how far along you are in your journey, there’s always more depth to uncover within yourself and in life.
Even 9 years on from my recovery, I’m still discovering new spaces within me. And while your recovery CAN be fully complete, personal growth must continue—because life itself continues to grow, deepen, and expand. This is something I’ve come to appreciate more with each passing year.
The Learning Love Training focuses on deep self-exploration and enhancing the quality of our relationships. Here are some key aspects:
• Recognising Our Wounded Self: We learn to embrace our vulnerabilities, understanding feelings of insecurity and shame. By bringing these wounds into awareness, we begin to live more authentically.
• From Codependency to Conscious Love: The training delves into relationship dynamics, helping us understand our patterns and cultivate healthier connections.
• Application in Everyday Life: The lessons we learn extend beyond the training environment into our everyday lives. This involves creating inner space to face challenges as they come and practising honesty, respect, and compassion in our relationships, so we can truly integrate these teachings into our daily experiences, enriching our lives and connections.
What I truly appreciate about this training is that it encourages inner exploration and self-reflection without pressuring you to jump directly into self-love. From my perspective, it emphasises the importance of self-acceptance as a foundational step toward self-love. This is something I’ve consistently highlighted for my clients because for many, loving oneself can feel like an uphill battle. By fostering self-acceptance first, we create a more accessible pathway to self-love. The Learning Love Training honours this process, allowing participants to explore their inner landscape at their own pace.
A Thought to Leave with You
A good life isn’t one without challenges, but one where you can more easefully ride the waves as they come. Recovery opens the door to new chapters, and in those chapters, life continues to unfold. It deepens, and so does our ability to meet it with grace.
Until next time,
