CommittED by Uncovery is designed to help you build skills and techniques that are central to Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) while connecting with a supportive community of people who share similar experiences and goals.

Through the program, you'll learn how to acknowledge and accept challenging internal experiences while committing to behaviours that bring joy and fulfilment to your life beyond your eating disorder.

By exploring the core processes of ACT, you'll gain insights into how to better manage difficult thoughts and feelings, developing skills and practical strategies for coping with triggers and other challenges that may arise on your journey towards recovery.

The offerings of this 12-week program include:

Recovery Education

Learning about the ACT and the benefits of eating disorder treatment

Emotion Regulation

Reframing experiences into positive ones and learning how to accept and tolerate all emotions

Mindfulness Practice

Learning guided meditation, visualisation and grounding techniques and why these are important

Rediscovering Yourself

Learning how to rebuild your relationship with the self beyond your eating disorder, exploring your identity and what comes next

Recovery Mapping

Discovering and outlining the steps needed to reach your recovery goals, exploring your dreams and the bigger picture

Empowering Activities

Worksheets to fill out for learning opportunities between sessions and reflection
